Frequently Asked Questions

How do I add an expense?

Tap the + button at the bottom right of any screen. Fill in the title, amount, category, and optionally assign a client and business flags, then tap Add.

Where is my data stored?

All data is stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to any server. Your expenses, clients, budgets, and preferences stay entirely on your iPhone or iPad.

Can I export my data?

Yes. Go to Settings and tap "Export CSV". This generates a spreadsheet file with all your expenses, including client assignments and business flags, which you can share via email, AirDrop, or any other method.

What are Business Flags?

Each expense can be marked as Tax Deductible, Reimbursable, or Billable. These flags help you track which expenses qualify for tax deductions, client reimbursement, or billing to a project.

How do clients and projects work?

You can create clients in the app and assign them to expenses. This lets you track spending per client, filter expenses by client, and see client breakdowns in Reports.

How do I set a budget?

Go to the Budgets tab. You can set a global monthly budget and individual limits per category. The app will alert you when you approach or exceed your limits.

How do I delete all my data?

Go to Settings and scroll to the bottom. Tap "Reset All Data" to permanently delete all expenses, clients, and budgets. You can also delete the app to remove all data.

Does the app require an internet connection?

No. Raydium works completely offline. No account or internet connection is needed to use any feature.
